Dayton's Bluff Neighborhood Housing Services
Dayton's Bluff Neighborhood Housing Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, incorporated in the State of Minnesota. Dayton's Bluff NHS was established in 1980 as a partnership between residents, government, and financial institutions to improve the housing and quality of life in our community.
Since its inception, through 2008, Dayton's Bluff NHS has been directly responsible for the rehabilitation, new constrution, and assisted purchase of over 2,122 affordable housing units, primarily in Saint Paul's East Side Neighborhoods, at a total cost of $136,582,307.

Volunteer Program Restores a Beloved Family Home
Longtime St. Paul residents Larry and Beverly Halcomb recently found themselves caught in a predicament many homeowners come to dread: the need for immediate, extensive home repair. The need became more and more apparent even as the possibility of seeking financial help grew more and more slim, until the Halcombs happened to notice an advertisement in their community newsletter describing the requirements for A Brush With Kindness; Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s home restoration program that pairs low-income homeowners with volunteers.
